Delta Society's Pet Partners program trains and screens volunteers with their pets so they can visit patients in our cancer center. These two pairs of volunteers bring comfort and compassion to our patients while they are receiving a chemotherapy treatment, waiting in the lobby, receiving lab work or at the center for radiation therapy. These dedicated volunteers and their pets have been credited for helping people forget about their pain, providing distractions during medical procedures, inspiring patient recovery and bringing a bit of joy to their day!
