The Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center’s patient assistance program provides resources to patients and their families who have become financially strained due to the fact of having cancer. Cancer treatment and associated expenses can be a financial strain and many times patients are in need of emergency aid for medication, utility bills, food and other expenses.
This program helps patients pay for their much needed medications, provides transportation for patients who are unable to get to the Cancer Center for treatment, as well as helps patients get PET scans who would have otherwise been unable to have this invaluable screening. In addition, this program helps patients pay for utility bills, dental visits and medical supplies. Our patient assistance program makes enormous impact on our patients and caregivers so that they can better deal with the struggles associated with having cancer.
